The itinerary

As one of the requirements of the users is that they want the plan to be very easily edited. In the desktop version, I allow the users to view both the list and the map at the same time. Users can remove, add activities or transportation methods while hovering the list. At the same time, suggestive items nearby will pop up on the map when users are hovering around specific items so they can add to their itinerary easily.

Pre-packaged trips

One of the users’ pain points is that they hate endless planning. So my solution is that before they need to make any effort, they can already browse some of the best designed vacation routes that are fit for them. They can view in detail what activities are there on each day. They can book directly according to this package or they can treat it like a template and edit from this.

Team work planning

By putting the chat box right beside the itinerary, it is super easy for the entire group to brainstorm ideas and suggest good destinations. The drag and drop feature allows the admin to drag the suggestive activity or POIs directly into the itinerary. The distance between the previous and next stop to it will be calculated automatically afterwards. Users can also add transportation methods to it really easily afterwards.

Map view vs List View

On the mobile version, the map view and the list view are really easy to switch. By default, they will appear at the same time on a screen but it is also super easy to switch to view one by just scrolling up and down. Friends and also the planned POIs will appearing on the map.
